A conversation on ANGER
Many of us AAPI women have a complicated relationship with anger. We were raised to hide our feelings, especially as girls, but grew up in households where anger was prevalent. Let’s explore anger through honest conversation about what was modeled for us growing up and examine our own relationship to anger through an AAPI lens.
What to expect
This event will be a guided discussion in a safe space free of judgment for authentic and vulnerable conversation.
To help facilitate and intentional space, please help us by doing the following:
- Come on time. Log on a minute or two before the event if you can. You will be placed in a waiting room until we begin.
- Do you best to be present (we know that’s hard during the pandemic but do the best you can.
- Expect to show up on video. Intentional conversation and meaningful connection are easier to create when we can see each other so let’s show up for each other.
Supporting the AAPI Community
All proceeds from this event will be donated to The Center for the Pacific Asian Family. Their mission is to build healthy and safe communities by addressing the root causes and consequences of family violence and violence against women. They are committed to meeting the specific cultural and language needs of Asian and Pacific Islander women and their families.
